Lighting research

We are going to include a variety of lighting in the opening scene we will produce as it will be vital in making the audience understand when and how the events are going to unfold. this will appeal to our target audience of 15-24 year olds as they constantly want to be frightened and thrilled by the scenes that they view. As seen in this clip of The Conjuring low key lighting is used throughout and it creates silhouettes around the main antagonist this is essential in making it clear who will be targeted by the horror. In our opening scene we are planning on using low key lightening as our main character walks down the stairs to the basement, the only other light will be coming form a flash-light she is holding this will be effective as it will make the narrative become more real as the character has no other resources than what are in her house.
