Creativity in post production

After filming all of our shots and clips we will then need to begin editing to ensure we meet our desired effect as well as we can, we will use final cut pro to edit the videos to create one flowing opening scene. We will use a variety of editing techniques on this application such as ken burns and this creates a zoomed focus on the clip on our choice. The front door will be the main focus as this will create curiosity to what is behind that door. The zooming effect hints to the audience that all isn’t as it seems behind the door and the main narrative will unfold behind the front door (in the main setting of the house). A colour filter of black and white will be used tactically to suggest that people and things from the past our going to be coming back to haunt the new vacant of the house, this is a typical convention of a horror film as the dark colours automatically make it clear that the film is based on dark and paranormal ideas. Other transitions we have considered are flash forwards or flash backs, these would be effective for us as they could further help the audience understand more about the characters and why and how the house has come to be haunted by bad spirits.
