Opening Scene- Problems with filming and editing
When filming our opening scene we came across some problems such as the times we filmed meant it was hard to get the right lighting throughout, therefore i need to go back and change the opacity of some of the clips so the low-key lighting is continous throughout. Secondly, as you can see in our opening scene the sound cuts of at the end therefore i will have to go back and extend tghe sound so it doesnt look unfinished and unprofessional.

Filming day clips
Here are some examples of the scenes we filmed for our opening sequence to a horror film. they may only seem like minor and small lengths of clip but without these details the overall opening wouldn't make sense and wouldnt be as effective.

Filming day 2
On the second day of filming we did more of the filming inside the main setting of the house. We used more advanced shot types such as a high and low angle shot as these show a different look on the main characters. We made sure that we had finished all of the narrative so that when we put it all together it will make sense, we used our storyboard to aid us in the process of understanding and filming all parts of the narrative to our opening scene.
Filming: time and progress
Filming: time and progress.
on the first day of filming we managed to complete the
filming of the flashbacks that the dead girl will experience in our opening sequence
to a horror film. It was essential to finish these as soon as possible before
moving on to filming the other character in the opening sequence to a film
because the flashbacks had to show the character in normal costume of jeans, a
top and natural make-up. We filmed these in the living room and based it around
the Christmas tree and decorations as this showed that the young girl once
lived a happy family oriented life but she experience a trauma which lead to
here stalking the main character that now lives in the house hence why the
title of the opening sequence to a horror film is called ‘our house’
Secondly we filmed the other main character who is the main
protagonist girl called sally we used a variety of shot types so when we edit
our opening sequence we can cut and add together different shot types and
lengths to get the desired effects to make our film eye-catching. We used a
long shot to establish the setting of this character as she is lay in her bed
unaware of the horror that is about to face her when she makes her way
downstairs to investigate the noise as well as a close-up shot to show her
emotions and reactions to the noises in her house and a high angle shot to
achieve the effect of someone looking down on her (the dead girl who will
appear later in the opening sequence).
We wanted to film the outside of the house and the surrounding setting on the first day of filming however it was raining and so we thought we would leave this filming until a later date where we can get a better camera quality and therefore make it look as professional as we hope it to be.

Make-up Experimentation
As a group we decided that make-up and costume would play a very important part in creating the narrative of our opening sequence to a horror film as without it the characters can not be presented professionally and realistically. The first images show a trial run of the make-up look we wanted for the main 'villian' character in the film. The pale make-up, messy hair and blood running down the face portray the character as old, and someone coming back from the dead in attempt to scare and create horror.

The following images show the final make-up look we went for. However the costume was different as we thought that it didn't match the make-up look we went for therefore we picked an old white shirt ripped it and smeared some fake blood over it to portray the horror behind the character in more depth than just the makeup.
