We have decided to name our film 'Our House' this is because the setting of the opening scene will be in a secluded house where the main character will experience events of the paranormal. Also the spirit is haunting the girl because the main character is a young girl who has just moved into the house she died in. The title doesn't reveal to much but makes it clear that it is here in 'Our House' where the events will unfold.
We decided that an old type writer style font will be effective as it will portray the old aspect of the house and the past that will be brought back to life, along with the idea that the story is being retold. Here are some choices we will decide between.

This option of font for the title is different from the first two typewriter style fonts and should be considered as it links to the setting which is over shadowed by dark trees and bushes and the roots off the letters could link to the dead girl being the root to the evil and horror that will be presented to the main character Sally. However, I think it looks more like a dark fairytale film such as Little Red Riding Hood and may not achieve the mysterious dark message we are trying to connote to the audience.
In the opening sequence it is important to have a running title sequence so the audience know who produced every aspect of the film such as the producers and actors etc, after looking at the existing example of a physiological horror (The Conjuring) I found that the title credits go in this order:
- Studio that presents it
- The production company
- Character (starring)
- Who cast the film
- Costume design
- Music by ...
- Edited by ...
- Head of production
- Photography / film director
- Co-producers (if any)
- Produced by ...
- Written and directed by ...
